Guests wanted to book direct. The old site wasn't making it easy.
The old site was due for a refresh. Guests needed a quicker path from browsing to booking, and the team wanted more control over their own content and bookings.
What I built
Clickk designed and built the site. I built the custom plugin that connects it to NewBook, so the booking system and the website work as one.

NewBook sync plugin
A custom plugin that pulls every property from the NewBook API and creates a WordPress post for each one, gallery included. The team runs the sync themselves, so they choose when changes go live.

Live availability calendar
A JavaScript calendar on every property page, built on the API, showing which nights are free. Guests pick their dates, party size and promo code without leaving the page.

Booking hand-off
When a guest books, the plugin asks NewBook for a booking link and sends them to a page that completes payment through NewBook's own checkout.
- Logic that links each event to nearby accommodation that's free on the event's dates
